Determined he placed his safety goggles over his eyes and picked up the sledge hammer. Taking the first swing was easy until the hammer contacted with the wall sending a sharp vibration up the handle through his arms to his back. Ignoring it he swung again, knocking a few bricks back into the unknown area. Continuing on until most of the wall was knocked down; Connor took off the safety goggles and wiped the sweat off his brow looking at the remnants of the wall. Then shifting his gaze into the darkness of the walled off room he grabbed the flashlight that he had left on a stack of boxes.
Walking into the room he shone the light across the room until it came across a table with what appeared to be a large mass on top. As he came closer to the table he saw that it was large marionette doll covered in spider webs. Looking at its face he couldn’t help but to think how creepy this thing was. Its paint slowly chipping away, the dress faded and tattered only her slightly faded face seemed to hold its time old beauty. Debating over whether to throw out the doll or not he came to the conclusion that it might actually be worth something and for now would remain in the room. Looking the doll once over again he noticed a book lying next to it.
Picking the book up he first tried to blow the dust off expecting a cloud of dust to come off it. But nothing came of that so he wiped the cover off quickly with his hand. Etched on to the cover of the leather bound book was the name Ezra Warren. Opening it up he was surprised to see that the majority of the pages had been ripped out save for a few that were in the back of the book. Intrigued he took the book up stairs heading to the fridge, grabbing a cold beer he sat on his couch tossing the book next to him. Unclipping his key chain from his belt loop he used the bottle opener attached to pop of the bottle cap. Carelessly tossing his keys and the bottle cap on the coffee table he then put his feet up and then took a long sig of his beer. With a tired sigh he picked up the book and started to read.
